FHP said a man has been severely injured after his SUV overturned on I-595.

According to the authorities, this accident occurred on I-595, also called Port Everglades Expressway. An officer said a 24-year-old man was driving a 2013 Ford Explorer when the accident happened.

The Ford was rear-ended by a 2015 Lexus RX450 at the right rear, at a high rate of speed. It was reported that the driver of the Ford lost control and injured his head after his vehicle overturned.

He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Authorities said the medics are not sure if he will survive.

After some findings and clarifications, troopers reported that the driver of the Lexus is a 38-year-old man. His vehicle also crashed after hitting the guardrail. He was also hospitalized with moderate injuries.
