Male Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle In Atlantic Boulevard

A man was killed after he was hit by a vehicle on Atlantic Boulevard, officials said.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at around 11:50 p.m. in the 10300 block of Atlantic Boulevard.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a male pedestrian with serious injuries. First responders took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, JSO said.

The driver is cooperating with investigators, police said.

Authorities did not reveal what caused the crash but maintain that the incident remains under investigation.
