Authorities report two people received life-threatening injuries in a crash on Butler Boulevard and Belfort Road in Fort Myers.

Fort Myers Fire Rescue was at the scene as well as the State Troopers. They say three generations of one family was almost home when the accident occurred.  A  15-year-old girl was driving the vehicle when she lost control of the car and it overturned. The vehicle then collided with the car in front containing the three generations.

Two grandparents were in the car that was struck, a father and his child. The driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and there was a child seat. The child was in good shape.

Paramedics arrived to the scene and transported the grandparents, who had received life-threatening injuries to the hospital. Others received minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

The crash remains an active investigation.
