Four People Seriously Injured In Fiery Crash In Fort Myers

A fiery two-vehicle crash on 41 near Whistler’s Cove in Fort Myers caused serious injuries to passengers of a Jeep Wrangler after they were hit by the driver of another car.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the fiery crash happened when the left front of a 2007 Toyota Camry, driving east on 41 near Whistler’s Cove, struck the left side of a 2017 Jeep Wrangler that was driving east on 41. The Jeep was driven 42-year-old Andrea Bandeira of Palm Harbor, Florida. The resultant effect of the collision forced the Jeep to hit a traffic signal and guardrail, rollover and then went up in flames.  The Jeep also was occupied by two passengers, 72-year-old John Gonzalez of Chatham and 41 year-old John Bandeira.

Patrol says Joseph Bandeira, the passenger in the Jeep, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected during the crash. Report says a passenger in the Toyota Camry was not hurt in the crash.
