According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a two-car crash that occurred on Normandy Boulevard left one woman dead and tied up traffic for hours.
Florida Highway Patrol reportedly responded to the accident on Normandy Boulevard near Adams Lake Boulevard on Jacksonville’s Westside. An initial crash report says the driver of a Toyota Corolla was attempting to make a left turn from Adam Lake Boulevard to Normandy when the accident happened. The Corolla turned in front of a Ford Taurus and the two cars collided.
It was reported that the driver of the Corolla, identified as a 64-year-old woman from Jacksonville, died at UF Health. Her name has not been released pending notification of family.
Report says the other driver, a 20-year-old woman from Jacksonville, was not injured. According to the FHP report, charges were pending.
