A police spokesman reported that a man driving a pickup truck was severely injured following a rear-end crash with a tow truck on Wonderwood Drive.
Police said the accident occurred on Wonderwood Drive just near Harrington Park Drive where a vehicle collided into the back of a tow truck.
According to reports, a 34-year-old man was driving his pickup truck westbound at a high rate of speed when he hit the tow truck driver. The tow truck driver was reportedly driving below the speed limit and stopped suddenly when he was hit from behind .
The driver of the pickup truck was not wearing his seat belt when the collision occurred leading him to sustain severe injuries. EMS arrived to the scene of the accident soon after it happened to administer on-site first aid to the injured victims in the incident.
Emergency crews reported that the pickup driver was transported to the nearest hospital in critical condition while the condition of the tow truck driver was unknown at the time of this report.
Officials say the incident is still under investigation and no further details were released.
