The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said, a Florida Department of Transportation Road Ranger vehicle was involved in a crash that shut down southbound lanes of Interstate 95 on the Northside.
From the report received, the two-vehicle accident happened near Pecan Park Road on the southbound lanes of Interstate 95.
According to JFRD, two people involved in the accident have been taken to a hospital with serious injuries, however, it’s uncertain whether one of them was the Road Ranger.
Report says, it appeared the Road Ranger’s vehicle overturned on its side and another car was damaged.
The Florida Highway Patrol and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office were on scene to clear the debris and also direct traffic. The cause of the accident has not be determined as the authorities are still conducting their investigation.
All southbound lanes of I-95 had since reopened.
Marc Anidjar, from the Law Firm of Anidjar and Levine, comments on this crash. “If you or a family member has been involved in an auto accident you need to act quickly. It is best if you can get the names and phone numbers of any witnesses that were at the scene. Take photos of the crash scene and the damage to your vehicle or property. Contact anyone in the area that may have video surveillance of what occurred. Finally you should contact a car accident attorney to help guide you through this difficult process.”
