The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash along I-95 that left a Doral man critically injured.

In a report by the FHP, a driver was southbound the right lane of I-95 in a 2012 Chevy 1500 truck.  A 33 year old man from Coral Gables, was driving a 2008 Volvo southbound and changed lanes. 

The crash happened when the Chevy truck that was southbound went off the road and onto the shoulder, the FHP said. He turned to sharply and entered into the southbound traffic to try and get back on the highway, spun around and crossed  into the Volvo’s path. The truck hit the Volvo both vehicles skidded to a stop blocking traffic southbound on I-95.

The driver of the Volvo had neck and back injuries and was removed from the scene by EMS.

The FHP said the driver of the truck was in seriously hurt and left in a second ambulance.
