Head-On Crash In Dania Beach Killed Two

According to the report from Florida Highway Patrol, two people died following an accident that happened in Dania Beach.

FHP reported that two drivers, one identified as a 22-year-old woman of Davie, and a 61-year-old man of Dania Beach were killed.

Troopers said the man, in his black Chevy Malibu was traveling south on Ravenswood Road, a two-lane roadway. Meanwhile, a red Volkswagen Passat driven by the woman was driving north on the same road when the accident occurred. According to the FHP report, “one of the vehicles crossed over the center line of Ravenswood Road,” causing a head-on collision.

Report says the area was closed for about two hours as troopers investigated. Both drivers were reportedly taken to a nearby hospital, where they were both pronounced dead.

According to FHP, the woman had a 22-year-old passenger in the car. The passenger had minor injuries. Troopers say neither the female driver nor the passenger were wearing a seat belt.

The crash remains under investigation, the FHP said.
