A 39-year-old man suffered severe injuries when he was thrown from his motorcycle on Pecan Park Road after a head-on accident with a Ford pickup, report says.
The motorcyclist traveled southbound on Pecan Park Road on a 2012 Harley Davidson, according to Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The motorcyclist then crossed into the other lane, attempting to avoid a vehicle that stopped suddenly. Consequently, the rider struck a northbound Ford F150.
It was reported that the rider was thrown from his motorcycle and sustained serious injuries. Emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital for immediate medical treatment. His condition is unknown.
The report confirmed that the driver of the pickup truck was a 17-year-old. The truck driver sustained only minor injuries from the accident. Additionally, there was one passenger in the F150 who did not sustain any injuries in the accident.
Police are still investigating the crash. No further information has been released to the press at the time of this report.
