Law enforcement officials say that a total of three people were injured in an accident when a Volkswagen and a Toyota collided on Middle Street.
Officials said, the incident involving a Volkswagen and a Toyota occurred on Middle Street when two vehicles collided head-on.
Authorities say, the driver of the Volkswagen was traveling westbound on Middle Street when a Toyota, heading northbound on Southwest 14th Avenue, suddenly turned into its path. Officials did not say why the Toyota driver crossed into the lane of the Volkswagen and say the accident is currently under investigation.
Emergency services were seen at the accident site administering first aid shortly after the accident happened. EMS reported that both drivers were injured as well as the front seat passenger in the Volkswagen. All three of the injured people were seen by EMS and then transported to the nearby hospital for further medical treatment.
Officials say charges are pending for the Toyota driver. No other details were released to the public.
