According to Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, a motorcycle rider was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after colliding with a car on Collins Road.
It was also reported that the driver of car was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies say, the car was driving east on Collins Road when it crashed head-on into a westbound motorcycle. It is not known if the car had a mechanical fault or it was consequential to the driver’s action.
Report says, both the driver of the car and the motorcyclist were taken to area hospitals, however, the driver’s injuries were not life-threatening.
It was reported that Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office deputies closed Collins Road at Roosevelt Boulevard while detectives investigated the accident.
The names of those involved in the crash have not yet been released. Other details about the cause of the accident has also not been released.
