Greg Yutuc, 22, was killed after he was ejected out of the vehicle due to a three-vehicle collision on I-295 just west of Buckham bridge in Jacksonville.

According to the Highway Patrol, a Pontiac G6 traveling south on I-295 struck the rear of a Hyundai Elantra. Troopers said the driver of the Pontiac then steered into the direct path of a Toyota Sienna, causing the Toyota to overturn and cross the guardrail into the northbound lanes.

Troopers say Yutuc, a passenger in the Toyota, was ejected and died at the scene. Report shows he was not wearing a seat belt.

Additionally, Yutuc’s father was taken to Orange Park Medical Center with serious injuries. His mother, who was driving the Toyota, and a 10-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. A 20-year-old passenger was not injured but was also taken to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the 21-year-old woman who was driving the Pontiac and the 22-year-old passenger in the Hyundai were hospitalized with minor injuries. The driver of the Hyundai was reportedly not injured.

Troopers say they are still investigating why the Pontiac hit the Hyundai. Charges are pending, according to the Highway patrol.
