Law enforcement authorities reported a serious head-on crash on Middle River Drive that sent five people, including three teenagers, to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to the news release by officials, they say that the head-on collision happened at an intersection on Middle River Drive.
Officials say there were four teenagers in one car and one adult in the other car when the crash happened. Information on how or why the accident happened was not released to the public and the incident is still under investigation by authorities.
EMS arrived to the scene of the accident to administer first aid to the injured victims soon after the crash happened. EMS reported that three people were airlifted to a nearby hospital, while the other two were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Their medical conditions remain unknown at the time of this report.
Police say more information will be available once the investigation is complete.
