Fort Myers Man Dies In Lee County Crash

A man was killed in a crash on Plantation Road at Willow Lake Circle in Fort Myers.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 10:30 a.m. when the driver, 27, ran off the road and hit a tree near the intersection.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both directions of Plantation Road were shut down at Willow Lake Circle while the crash was under investigation, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.

Authorities did not reveal any further information on the crash but said it remained under investigation.
