Authorities reported that a 48-year-old man and his two female passengers sustained life-threatening injuries in a single vehicle accident on Winkler Avenue.

According to the police, the victim was eastbound on Winkler Avenue. The accident occurred in Fort Myers when a 2013 Toyota Tacoma went off the roadway and struck a guardrail, police said. The front of the pickup truck hit a curb and the truck overturned into the eastbound lanes of Winkler Avenue.  The truck then struck the median before coming to a total standstill.

The driver and two other female passengers sustained life-threatening injuries, police reported. Upon arrival, EMS rendered first aid to the victims of the crash. They then transported the victims to a nearby medical center via ambulance. Authorities reported that the impact of the collision was minimized because the victims were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.

The Police department is investigating the cause of the crash. Presently, they have not released any additional information regarding the incident.

When motorists are distracted, reckless, or speeding they put the lives of others at risk. When a negligent driver causes a crash, he or she could be held accountable for the accident. An injured victim should seek out an experienced accident attorney to help with the collection of compensation for medical care, losses and damages.”
