A pickup truck, driven by a 17-year-old boy, was traveling west on Sunset Road near the intersection of Gunnery Road North when the accident happened.

It was reported that he failed to stop at the stop sign and T-boned a car at the intersection. This accident led to the death of a 5-year-old Connor Green of Fort Myers.

Report says the toddler was killed after the pickup truck failed to stop at a stop sign in Buckingham. The details of the car and the information about the occupants of the car, including the identity of the toddler as not been made public by the authorities.

It was reported that drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
