Authorities reported that several people were injured after being involved in a three-vehicle accident on Summerlin Road and Colonial Boulevard.
According to the news release by authorities, a white car and a Chevy Tahoe crashed into each other at the intersection on Summerlin Road and Colonial Boulevard. After the first collision, the vehicles then struck a Honda Civic that was stopped at a light.
Emergency first responders arrived at the scene of the accident and administered first aid to the victims before taking them to the hospital for further treatment. All three of the drivers had to be taken to the hospital having sustained serious injuries. Two passengers in the third car received critical injuries and had to be airlifted to a nearby trauma center.
The identities of the individuals involved in the crash are yet to be released by the authorities.
The road was shut down and blocked while officials worked to clear the wreckage and debris from the crash site. Officials say the incident remains under investigation.
