Law enforcement officials reported that four school students have been severely injured after a vehicle crashed into their school bus on Marsh Avenue.

According to the report, the accident happened on Marsh Avenue where eyewitnesses said the 2013 Toyota Camry, driven by a 32-year-old man, crashed into the school bus. Some students were exiting the bus when the crash occurred, officials said.

The man was attempting to drive around the school bus as it was parked at a bus stop. The driver hit the right front of her vehicle against the left rear of the bus trying to go around.

EMS arrived to the scene of the accident to find four seriously injured students. They were given first aid treatment at the scene of the accident and were later transported to the nearest medical center for further medical care. The four injured students were reported to be three females and one male with the average age of 13.

Officials said the driver will receive a citation for careless driving and said the driver was not injured in the collision.
