Police reported that three people have been severely injured in a crash on County Road 884 after a driver ran a red light.
Law enforcement officials said, the accident happened at the intersection of Treeline Avenue and County Road 884 where a driver ignored a red light causing the crash.
The Toyota Fortuner driver ran a red light as he turned off of County Road 884 and collided with a BMW X6 that was driven by a 23-year-old man. Police did not say why the Toyota driver failed to stop at the red light.
EMS arrived on scene shortly after the accident happened and administered first aid to the injured parties. Emergency crews reported that the two occupants of the Toyota, a couple in their mid-40, suffered injuries of varying degrees.
The driver of the BMW reportedly suffered severe trauma to his head. The BMW driver and the couple in the Toyota were all transported to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.
Officials say the incident is still under investigation and no further details were released.
