A five-vehicle crash blocked two southbound lanes and caused a traffic gridlock on US 41 at College Parkway in Fort Myers.

In a report by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the five-vehicle collision resulted in multiple injuries and many victims. The sheer number of vehicles involved created a major crash site that blocked the two southbound lanes on US 41 on the College Parkway in Fort Myers. 

Authorities have not released the details of the accident to the public yet. So the identities of the victims remains unknown. Several minor and major injuries were reported. The EMS crews worked quickly to address all of the injured parties as well as helped to clear the wreckage surrounding the accident. The victims were all taken to the hospital for further medical treatment.

No other information has been made available and the incident is still under investigation.
