Report says a 38-year-old woman drove her Subaru SUV into a wrong way on South Andrews Avenue causing a three-car accident.
Emergency Medical Services arrived at the scene of the accident shortly after it occurred. According to a crew member, the drivers of the first two cars involved are in critical condition. Two of the cars had a passenger, whom also sustained severe injuries. The crew added that the driver of the third car is the sole occupant and he sustained injuries also.
According to the police, the wrong-way accident happened along South Andrews Avenue. The SUV driver drove into the opposite lane and collided with a car. These two cars crashed into another car before coming to a standstill.
An eyewitness, who was driving behind the SUV said the crash happened very fast. She also said that SUV struck the oncoming car and another ongoing car rammed into the crash scene headlong.
All the victim of the accident were taken to a nearby hospital. The police are still investigating the crash. No charges have been filed yet.
