Jacksonville Police said a car ran a red light and crashed into a vehicle severely injuring three people on Dunn Avenue.
The accident happened at the intersection of Dunn Avenue and County Road involving a Toyota and a Honda. The Toyota reportedly ran a red light while driving southbound on County Road. According to the police, he crashed into a Honda that was eastbound on Dunn Avenue. The Honda overturned after it was struck by the speeding Toyota.
Report say that five people were involved in this accident. The 24-year-old driver of the Toyota was with a 23-year-old female passenger. In the other vehicle, there were three occupants.
EMS said the occupants of the Honda sustained the most severe injuries. An officer said the driver and the front seat passenger were unconscious when they arrived. The occupants of the Toyota sustained minor injuries.
The occupants of the Honda were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The two occupants of the Toyota were treated on the site of the crash.
Police are still investigating the crash.
