It has been reported that four people were injured in a three vehicle accident on Federal Highway in Miami.
Reports say a 45-year-old man was driving a tractor-trailer and ran the red light. It is heading northbound on the highway when he failed to stop and crashed into two other cars.
According to officials the two other cars involved were a pickup truck and a SUV. The pickup truck was driven by a woman and the Toyota SUV was driven by a man.
Authorities said seven people were involved in this accident. There were two occupants in the tractor trailer, two occupants in the pickup truck and three occupants in the SUV.
The driver of the SUV and two passengers suffered serious injuries. The pickup driver with her passenger were also severely injured. The two occupants of the tractor trailer only sustained minor injuries.
All the five victims in the pickup truck and the SUV have been transported to the nearest hospital. The occupants of the truck was treated at the scene.
The Miami Police Department is currently investigating the accident. No charge has been filed yet.
