According to law enforcement authorities, a man driving in a stolen 2015 Nissan Maxima crashed into a parked police vehicle leaving two officers injured on Treeline Avenue.
The crash happened on Treeline Avenue where a man driving a stolen 2015 Nissan Maxima and crashed into a parked police car, officials said.
Report says the driver was speeding well above the speed limit before losing control and crashing into the parked police car that had two officers inside. The high-speed collision left both of the officers with injuries.
It was reported that paramedics arrived to the scene of the accident and administered first aid treatment on the injured officers. They were then transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The driver in the stolen vehicle suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries to his head and ribs. The man was treated on-site and then also taken to the hospital for treatment.
No further details about the driver who stole the car and struck the parked officers has been released to the public at the time of this report.
The accident is still under investigation, authorities said.
