Police reported that four people were seriously injured in a fiery accident along Metro Parkway.
It was reported that the accident happened southbound on Metro Parkway, near Gardner Orthopedics. It happened when a 2010 Subaru Impreza, driven by a 49-year-old woman, crashed and rolled over, police said.
According to Fort Myers Police Department, there were five occupants in the vehicle when the accident happened. There was a 14-year-old girl, a 17-year-old boy, a 25-year-old woman with a 38-year-old, police said.
EMS reportedly arrived at the scene of the accident few minutes after the accident happened. Upon arrival, first aid treatment was administered to one of the teenagers on the scene. The other teenager was badly injured and were taken to the hospital.
The driver of the vehicle suffered head and back injuries, EMS reported. The 38-year-old woman in the car sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
All the victims of the crash have been transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
