An accident on Northwest 31st Avenue and 41st Street has led to one death and another person injured.

According to authorities, the accident occurred when the driver of a truck failed to slow down and rear-ended another vehicle.

There were two women in the car that was rear-ended. The driver of the car was declared dead at the scene of the accident by the emergency crew.  The car’s passenger was taken to the hospital, but sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The male driver of the truck, which reportedly caused the accident, sustained minor injuries from the impact.  The gentleman was being questioned by authorities at the scene of the collision.  Charges have not yet been filed.

Emergency crews were on site promptly clearing up the debris.  None of the victims’ identifications have been reported by the authorities at this time.
