According to the Florida Highway Patrol, one person is killed and two other people suffered minor injuries after an accident on West Beltway 295 at Biltmore.
The report says the accident happened in the northbound lanes of the West Beltway 295 at Biltmore. The report says a Dodge Ram came to a stop on the highway on the inside center lane. A Toyota Tundra was heading north on West Beltway 295 in the center lane when the accident occurred.
It was reported that the Toyota failed to observe the stopped Dodge. The front of the Toyota collided with the right rear side of the Dodge. There was no occupant in the Dodge when the accident happened.
As a result of the collision, the Dodge was reportedly pushed onto the left shoulder colliding with one person standing on the road. The person was thrown over the metal barrier that divided the northbound and southbound lanes. That victim suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the hospital and a passenger in the Toyota suffered minor injuries in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
