Elderly Pedestrian Sustains Critical Injuries In Immokalee

An accident in Immokalee has left a 65-year-old pedestrian with critical injuries after she was struck by a vehicle.

Florida Highway Patrol says the crash happened at 9:53 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

Troopers say a 39-year-old woman was driving an SUV southbound on North 1st Street just south of Roberts Avenue East when a woman walked into the vehicle’s path.

The woman was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital.

No other information is known at this time.
