A 32-year-old man was unconscious after a two-car crash on Gulf Shore Boulevard South in Naples, police said. His car reportedly struck a car traveling in the opposite direction when the accident happened.
The accident happened on Gulf Shore Boulevard South, police said. It happened when the 32-year-old lost control of his 2011 BMW 535i as he was southbound on Gulf Shore Boulevard South. He then left his driveway and rammed into a 2012 Toyota Corolla going north, as reported.
Four occupants of the Corolla were taken to a hospital with severe injuries, according to a Naples Police officer. The injuries sustained by the passengers were reported to be non-life-threatening.
Meanwhile, the extent of injury sustained by the driver of the BMW is traumatic, police said. He was reportedly immobile and unconscious on emergency responders’ arrival.
According to the authorities, the driver of the BMW was place on life support and rushed to the nearest hospital. EMS transported all the victims of the crash to a nearby hospital by road.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
