 Authorities report one person being critically injured in a crash which involved two vehicles on State Road 41 in Fort Myers.

According to the news release by the authorities, the crash happened on State Road 41.  The driver of a Toyota Highlander was heading north and crossed the center line into oncoming traffic. He then collided head on with a Buick Regal.

The driver of the Buick was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Toyota Highlander was also taken to the hospital having sustained non life threatening injuries.

Certain portion of the lanes were closed while investigators conducted an investigation. Emergency crews were at the scene to clear the debris.

The crash remains under investigation. Details of the individuals involved in the crash were not immediately released by the Officials.

All lanes have since reopened and normal flow has resumed.
