Driver Dead, Pedestrian Injured After Attempted Traffic Stop In Pembroke Park %%excerpt%% Attorney

A driver was killed after he was involved in a hit-and-run crash on Thursday in a fiery crash in Broward County, deputies said.

Miramar police officers said the driver was speeding at the 6600 block of Miramar Parkway. When officers followed, the driver fled the scene and struck a pedestrian, police said.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies joined the chase. The suspect was involved in a rollover crash near the intersection of Southwest 44th Avenue and Hallandale Beach Boulevard in Pembroke Park.

A witness said the car was engulfed in flames. Fire Rescue personnel transported the driver to the hospital. Deputies said a doctor pronounced the driver dead and the Miramar pedestrian was hospitalized.
