Law enforcement officials report that a victim suffered critical injuries after a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of Hanson Street and Old Metro Parkway.

The accident happened at the intersection of Hanson Street and Old Metro Parkway where a man driving a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling northbound on Old Metro Parkway.  He ran a red light causing a multiple vehicle accident.

After running the red light the Chevrolet Silverado then crashed into the right passenger side of a red Nissan Quest headed westbound on Hanson Street. The Quest spun around multiple times and then collided into the front section of a Toyota Rav4. The Toyota SUV was traveling eastbound on the same road, according to the police.

The driver of the Quest was not wearing her seat belt when the accident happened and was ejected from the vehicle, sustaining critical injuries. She was immediately transported to the nearest hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities did not give an official statement saying why the Chevrolet Silverado driver violated the traffic light and say the incident is still under investigation.

The identity of the victim is not yet known and no other details were released.
