Deer Run Farms Road Accident Leaves Elderly Woman Severely Injured

Fort Myers Police department said a 76-year-old woman was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle on Deer Run Farms Road.

Report says the incident happened on Deer Run Farms Road. Eyewitnesses say that the elderly woman was struck by an adult female, driving a Honda minivan along the road.

Police did not give an official press release on how or why the elderly pedestrian was struck. However, they did say that the driver who hit her remained at the scene of the accident. It was reported that she has been cooperative with officers in the ongoing investigation.

EMS arrived on scene shortly after the accident occurred and administered first aid to the victim. Report has it that the woman’s injuries were not thought to be life-threatening. The victim was stabilized and immediately taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.

No other information about the identities of the people involved in the incidence has been made public.
