Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reports a deadly crash involving a bicyclist in St. Nicholas.

Officials responded to the deadly crash involving a Bicyclist in St. Nicholas which occurred on Beach Boulevard and Carmichael Avenue in front of the Kuhn Flowers business. According to traffic homicide detectives the man was struck by a Chevy Tahoe as he was crossing the street.

The man on the bicycle sustained fatal injuries. Details of his injuries were not released by authorities and the man was immediately taken to the hospital following the accident but could not recover from his injuries. He died shortly after.

All westbound lanes of Beach Boulevard from Carmichael Avenue to Art Museum were blocked while the investigation was underway.

The identity of the victim was not released by authorities and no further information has been given.
