Authorities reported that rescue crews have taken a Florida Highway Patrol trooper to the hospital after they were involved in a crash in Davie.
Report says FHP, Davie Police and Davie Fire Rescue units responded to the scene of the crash in the area of Griffin Road and University Drive.
Report from the scene says an FHP cruiser and a white sports car have its wheels up against a median wall. It was also reported that a black Honda sedan appeared to have collided with the white car.
According to the report, paramedics have transported the trooper to Memorial Hospital Pembroke in unknown condition.
From the reports, officials have not specified if the civilians in the other vehicles were injured or not.
Police shut down the bridge at 7600 Griffin Road for several hours while they investigated. It has since reopened to traffic.
Glen Levine, from the Law Firm of Anidjar and Levine, comments on this crash. “This was a serious accident that left a trooper injured. Accidents like this are one of the most dangerous kinds of accidents. Sadly, the innocent victims of these crashes are rendered powerless: often, there’s nothing you can do when an oncoming vehicle is bearing down on you. We wish that all involved have a speedy recovery from their injuries in this terrible accident.”
