An 11-year-old boy was hit by a car in Lehigh Acres on Sunday evening.
The child was hit just after 8 p.m. on 8th Street SW near Olive Avenue South, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
An eyewitness said a 42-year-old woman from Lehigh was heading west on 8th Street SW when the front right portion of her car hit the child who was on the north side of 8th Street SW, west of Olive Ave S. The child suffered serious injuries.
Officials did not provide further information immediately.
