Car T-Boned SUV On Monument Road; Five People Left Injured

It was reported by Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office that a car ran a red light and t-boned an SUV on Monument Road.

The report says this accident happened at the intersection of Monument Road and St. Johns Bluff Road North. It involved a Toyota car and a Honda CRV. A red Toyota reportedly ran a red light while driving southbound on St Johns Bluff Road North. According to the police, the driver slammed into a Honda that was eastbound on Monument Road in the process.

Five people were reportedly involved in this accident including the 24-year-old driver of the Toyota and a 23-year-old female passenger.

It was reported that there were three occupants in the SUV. The SUV flipped after it was hit by the fast-moving Toyota.

The occupants of the SUV sustained the most severe injuries, EMS said. An officer said the driver and the passenger on the front seat was unconscious when they arrived, however, the occupants of the Toyota sustained minor injuries.

The report says the occupants of the SUV were rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment. Meanwhile the two occupants of the Toyota were treated at the scene of the crash.

Police are still investigating the accident.
