The driver of a silver sedan was responsible for a crash on Atlantic Boulevard that damaged several cars in Duval County.
Eyewitnesses to the crash said the driver jumped the curb in front of Poe’s Tavern, went airborne and hit at least three cars before coming to a rest. An eyewitness identified as Chris Baer, who works as a restaurant host in Neptune Beach, said the car came in flying and they saw several damaged cars in a row. A blue BMW that had been pushed into an adjacent pickup was seen at the scene of the crash.
Report also says the driver of the silver sedan responsible for the crash was taken into custody by police.
Members in the area discussed the possibility of a speed bump in order to prevent a similar crash in the future.
Police continue to investigate. It is unclear yet if anyone was injured in the crash. No further details were released.
