A 62-year-old man from Cape Coral was injured in a chain-reaction accident with three pickup trucks on County Road 884.

The Cape Coral man was stopped in the left turn lane of eastbound County Road 884 and Colonial Boulevard in a 2013 Ford F150.

According to the Reports, a 1997 GMC Sierra, driven by 36-year-old man of Troy, veered into the turn lane behind the 2013 Ford F150, striking it in the rear.

The impact pushed 2013 Ford into the back of another Ford F150 pickup that was stopped in the left turn lane. That driver, a 58-year old man from Cape Coral, was not injured.

The 2013 Ford F150 driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.  He was wearing a safety device.

Fort Myers Police Department is presently investigating the accident.
