Bicycle-Vehicle Crash On Commercial Boulevard Severely Injured A Woman

According to the Fort Lauderdale Police, a 25-year-old woman sustained severe injuries when struck by a pickup truck while riding her bicycle on Commercial Boulevard.

The report says the woman lost control when a 2012 Nissan Frontier sideswiped her bicycle on the side of the road. She was thrown off the bicycle when the crash happened. As affirmed by the authorities, the accident happened on Commercial Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. Fort Lauderdale Police also reported that the woman sustained severe injuries, though non-life-threatening.

The Nissan pickup truck reportedly sideswiped the bicycle and then hit the guardrail by the side of the road. The truck later came to a standstill.

Police said upon EMS arrival at the scene of the accident, the bicycle rider was first attended to. She reportedly suffered a dislocation of her left arm, however, the driver of the pickup truck was not reported injured.

No charge is filed by the authorities yet. The accident is still being investigated, police said.
