An Accident On I-10 Led To Four Injured

A Chevrolet was struck by a semi-truck by the side on I-10, resulting into life-threatening injuries, Jacksonville Sheriff said.

Authorities said the accident happened on I-10. It was reported that the driver of the semi-truck sideswiped the ongoing 2010 Chevrolet Aveo driven by a 36-year-old woman.

A witness reported that the semi-truck moved out of his lane at a high rate of speed. The truck consequently crashed the Chevy in the process. The witness further said this initial crash apparently destabilized the woman and made her swerved off uncontrollably. The car then crashed into the side of the road, JSO said.

Report says the driver of the Chevy and the three passengers were severely injured. JFRD arrived at the scene of the accident to respond to the injured victims. The people involved in the accident were transported to a nearby hospital. The truck driver did not sustain any injury.

Police are investigating the crash. No charge has been filed yet.

Our best wishes go out to the victims that were injured in this accident.  It is disheartening when someone has been injured as a result of possibly reckless driving.  We hope that the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening and that they have a speedy recovery.”
