Five people were injured in an accident as a pickup truck rear-ended a car along Winker Avenue, police said.

According to the police report, a pickup truck crashed into the rear of a Buick while approaching a traffic light. The Buick was driven by a 33-year-old man.

The Nissan pickup truck forcefully struck the car from the rear, according to police report. The 27-year-old driver of the pickup truck was driving at a high rate of speed when the accident occurred.

According to EMS report, there was also a passenger inside the Buick. The 32-year-old male passenger reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to the hospital by paramedics.

The drivers of the pickup and the car also suffer injuries. The crash victims were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment, police said.

Investigation is still ongoing, authorities said.
