Accident On I-295; Three People Injured

According to the authorities, an I-295 accident involving a beverage truck and two sedans led to three injuries.

A spokesman for the police reported that the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-295 at Southwood. A 48-year-old driver of the beverage truck suddenly slammed his brakes when traveling in the fast lane.

Consequently, a Lexus sedan traveling at a high rate of speed behind the truck reportedly rammed into it from the rear. A black Hyundai Sonata traveling behind the Lexus could not avoid the crash as well, police added.

It was reported that three people were injured out of five people involved in the accident. The driver of the beverage truck was not injured as well as the passenger. However, the two occupants of the Lexus suffered severe injuries as well as the driver and occupant of the Hyundai.

Three injured victims were transported in an ambulance to the nearest hospital for further treatment, authorities confirmed. Meanwhile, the occupants of the beverage truck remained on the site of the accident.

Police are investigating the accident. According to the report, no charge has been filed yet.
