Accident On Crayton Road Killed A Pedestrian

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a pedestrian who was attempting to cross a road without using a crosswalk was confirmed dead when he was hit by a vehicle on Crayton Road.

It was reported that the accident happened on Crayton Road at Moorings where a man was attempting to cross the road. The victim was attempting to cross Crayton Road without using the crosswalk, officials said. The driver was a 33-year-old man who could not avoid hitting the victim.

Report says EMS arrived to the scene of the accident shortly after it happened and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene as a result of multiple injuries. No information about the deceased has been released by authorities to the press.

It was not reported if the driver who hit the pedestrian did not suffered any injuries and his identity has not been released to the press. No charges have been filed at the time of this report and authorities say the crash is still under investigation.
