According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, seven people sustained injuries in an accident involving two vehicles northbound on Braddock Road.
The report says three women and four men were involved in the accident. The sheriff’s office spokesman said the accident happened between a silver 2011 Honda Pilot and a Lincoln Navigator. The crash occurred on Braddock Road in Jacksonville.
EMS arrived at the site of the crash to attend to the victims a few minutes after the accident happened. One of the men was reported to have a fractured hip. Others also suffered severe injuries to the head, neck and back.
The driver of the Lincoln was reported to be in a critical condition when the crew arrived. According to the EMS crew, three of the injuries were reported to be life threatening.
The names of the victims have been withheld while the authorities confirm their identities. However, they have all been transported to a local hospital nearby for medical care.
No further details have been released at this time.
The accident is under investigation.
