Law enforcement officials say that a woman and two others were severely injured in a head-on accident that stopped traffic on Penman Road.
According to a Sheriff’s Office spokesman, the accident involved two vehicles, a Nissan SUV driven by a 41-year-old female and a Ford Pickup truck. The vehicles collided on Penman Road, near Cinotti’s Bakery–Sandwich Shop. Authorities did not give an official statement saying how the accident happened and are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
EMS arrived at the scene of the accident soon after it happened to administer on-site first aid to the injured victims in the incident. Emergency crews reported that the woman in the Nissan was found unconscious at the site of the accident when JFRD arrived. She was wearing her seatbelt when the accident happened.
The woman in the Nissan and the driver and passenger in the Ford Pickup truck were all transported to the hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries.
