A Fiery Crash On Airport Expressway Caused Injuries To A Mother and Son

The report says emergency crews transported a teenager and his mother to the hospital following injuries sustained in an accident on Airport Expressway.

According to the police, the accident involved two vehicles along Airport Expressway in Miami. A witness said a pickup truck rear-ended the car in the passing lane.

It was reported that the woman was eastbound in a 2012 BMW 328i with her teenage son when the accident happened.

At the moment the BMW was struck from the rear she reportedly lost control of the car. She then swerved off her lane and traveled into the lane of the pickup truck driven by a 30-year-old man.

EMS reportedly arrived at the scene of the accident and began to administer medical care to the people involved.

Officials reported the woman sustained head trauma and hip injuries. The woman’s son also had bruises on his face and arm.

The pickup truck driver suffered injuries as well. Emergency responders transported all the victims to a nearby hospital.

Police are investigating the accident.
