A Driver In Fiery Accident On Southwest 27th Avenue Hospitalized

A report says a 34-year-old man was reportedly unconscious after his pickup truck crashed into a guardrail on Southwest 27th Avenue.

According to the police, the 34-year-old man was southbound on Southwest 27th Avenue in his Chevrolet when he lost control of the vehicle. The 2008 Chevrolet Silverado slid off the right side of the road and hit a guardrail. The vehicle then returned to the roadway, crossed lanes and ended up off the other side of the road.

It was also reported that the pickup truck rolled over after hitting a parked SUV.

It is not clear what led to the loss of control. An eyewitness said he may have been attempting to avoid crashing into a reckless driver ahead of him.

The driver of the truck was not wearing a seat belt according to the released report.

Upon EMS arrival, the man was found in a traumatic condition at the scene. He has been rushed to the nearest hospital for prompt medical treatment.

The accident is under investigation by the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.
