Two cars reportedly collided while one continued and slam into a bus stop leading to eight people being hospitalized.
Authorities said the crash occurred at the intersection of NW 5th Street and NW 2nd Avenue in Overtown, Miami. Police reported that a Nissan Maxima and a Ford Focus were involved in the crash. Reports say the Nissan Maxima and a Ford Focus collided sending the Nissan crashing into the bus stop and the Ford into utility pole.
EMS reported that there were three people standing at the bus stop at the time of the crash. These people were badly injured after the accident happened. They were transported to the nearest hospital for treatment.
The other five were in the two cars, according to Miami EMS. There were three occupants in the Nissan and two occupant in the Ford. EMS reported that at least one of the victims is in critical condition.
It is not clear what caused the crash, police have not released any other information. The current condition of the victims is unknown.
